As pastor of Holy Guardian Angels Parish, my primary responsibility is to help you grow as disciples of Jesus and to equip you to go and make disciples of others. I am excited to share that, this Lent, our parish is going to participate in a survey conducted by Catholic Leadership Institute. The Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey allows parishioners to reflect on their own spiritual growth and discipleship and identify the ways in which the parish effectively supports that growth. The web-based survey will be accessible online and in paper form from Ash Wednesday, February 22 – March 31.
Instructions for picking up and submitted paper surveys, will be communicated to parishioners. If you have an opportunity, please stress the importance of responding to this survey to your ministry members. At the completion of the survey, our parish will receive a summary report of the results.
We will NOT have access to individual survey responses. This survey offers us a unique and important opportunity to learn about issues of importance to parishioners in a confidential and professional way.
We will use these results to
1) look at opportunities to support parishioner growth in discipleship and
2) create goals and plans to achieve that growth. Soon, you will receive a communication inviting parishioners to participate in the survey.
If parishioners ask you about the survey, please: Remind them about the dates the survey will be live Ash Wednesday, February 22 – March 31. Encourage them to respond as soon they can. We want to hear from as many people as possible. Assure them that the parish leadership team will receive a summary report of the aggregate data and that no one at our parish will have access to individual survey responses. Thank you in advance for the encouragement that you will provide to the community when we request feedback. Como párroco de la parroquia de los Santos Ángeles Custodios, mi principal responsabilidad es ayudarlos a crecer como discípulos de Jesús y equiparlos para ir y hacer discípulos de otros. Me entusiasma compartir que, esta Cuaresma, nuestra parroquia va a participar en una encuesta conducida por el Instituto de Liderazgo Católico (Catholic Leadership Institute). La encuesta Índice de Creadores de Discípulos (Disciple Maker Index, DMI) permite a los feligreses reflexionar sobre su propio crecimiento espiritual y discipulado e identificar las maneras en las que la parroquia apoya efectivamente ese crecimiento. La encuesta basada en la web estará disponible en línea y en papel desde el Miércoles de Ceniza, 22 de febrero al 31 de marzo.
Las instrucciones para recoger y enviar las encuestas en papel serán comunicadas a los feligreses. Si tiene la oportunidad por favor enfatice a los miembros de su ministerio la importancia de responder a esta encuesta. Al terminar la encuesta, nuestra parroquia recibirá un informe que resume los resultados.
NO tendremos acceso a respuestas individuales de la encuesta. Esta encuesta nos ofrece una oportunidad única e importante de aprender acerca de los asuntos de importancia para los feligreses de una manera confidencial y profesional.
Usaremos estos resultados para 1) buscar oportunidades para apoyar el crecimiento de feligreses en el discipulado y 2) crear metas y planes para alcanzar ese crecimiento. Pronto recibirá una comunicación invitando a los feligreses a participar en la encuesta. Si sus feligreses le preguntan sobre la encuesta, por favor: Recuérdeles las fechas en las que la encuesta estará activa: Miércoles de ceniza, 22 de febrero al 31 de marzo. Anímelos a responder tan pronto como puedan. Queremos escuchar de tantas personas como sea posible. Asegúreles que el equipo de liderazgo de la parroquia recibirá un resumen de los datos agrupados y que nadie en nuestra parroquia tendrá acceso a repuestas individuales de la encuesta.
