Catholic Women's Organization

The purpose of the Catholic Women's Organization (CWO) is to assist the pastor in furthering the spiritual, material, and social interests of the parish.  To promote the spiritual, intellectual and cultural growth of all the women of the parish, as active participants of the Lay Apostolate.
All women of the parish are considered members.  Dues are $10.00 a year for active members.
There are 4 brunches during the year, held after the 9:30 Sunday mass.  Meetings are also held during the brunches.  During Lent there is an Evening of Reflection, and Mary's Way of the Cross with a short meeting at that time.
Vocations are promoted through the Pot-of-Gold drawings held at the meetings.  Proceeds are directed to help a seminarian.
CWO sponsored events are: Rummage Sale, Fashion Show, Breakfast with Santa, Bake Sales, Medical Mission, Coat Drive, and Oktoberfest Raffle.
Funds raised are distributed to our parish, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and USO.   Food collections are given to St. Barbara Pastoral Care Food Pantry.   At Christmas time the CWO asks members to purchase gifts for residents of Misericordia, and families signed up with St. Barbara Pastoral Care Offce.
