December Restocking the St. Barbara Food Pantry
Thanks to the generosity of the parishioners and friends of Holy Guardian Angels Parish, the bounty of Thanksgiving was shared by many families and individuals in our area who rely on the St. Barbara Food Pantry. Now, as we enter the season of Advent and as the pandemic continues to affect all of our lives and our budgets, the St. Barbara Food Pantry strives to meet the needs of those who rely on it for healthy food.
This Sunday, December 5th, will be the next and only restocking collection for December. The collection will be at the front of St. Louise de Marillac Church, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
Instant mashed potatoes, canned meats, canned cream soups, and hot cocoa mixes top the list this month. Always in need of replenishment are hot cereals, rice, dried beans and soup mixes, pastas and sauces, canned meals (such as chili and ravioli), all canned fruits and vegetables, healthy snacks for children, fruit juices and bottled water.
Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated, and all money donated goes directly to the pantry for the purchase of needed groceries. Please make checks out to the St. Barbara Food Pantry.
New winter hats, scarves, gloves and mittens of all sizes are still being collected for distribution by the pantry before Christmas.
Please mark your calendars for January 2, 2022, which will be the first pantry restocking collection of the New Year and the only food collection in January.
Thank you to all who continue to support the St. Barbara Food Pantry in so many ways. Your sacrifices are truly blessings to those in need.
